I'm a 36 year old librarian who loves to run, read, do yoga and hang out with my friends and family. I ran the 2008 & 2009 Boston Marathon for Team Eye & Ear to support the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Go Team Eye & Ear!

Wednesday re-cap

My 2 favorite workouts are the long Saturday runs and Wednesday's quarter mile repeats. Last night's repeats were good- the time goes by so quickly when it's broken down into 2 minute intervals. This time I forced myself to do a full 10 minute cool down, and it really made a difference in terms of how I felt afterwards. Last week I didn't get my heart rate down enough and was convinced I was going to have a heart attack. This week was much better; it's an interesting workout because even though I'm moving for so long, I don't feel out of breath at the end, which is why I probably felt I could skip most of my cool down last week. Tonight is a cross-training night.

Perrie Cataldo, the next American Idol?

Idol was only "eh" last night. Let's face it- Charleston, SC gave Simon plenty of opportunity to roll his eyes. Oh, and it turns out Perrie Cataldo, the single dad I liked so much from Tuesday's episode, has a bit of a past, but for now he still has my vote. The guy can sing.

I can't believe you left out mention of our mathematical analysis of how long it takes to run a quarter mile at 8 mph.
